The Great Oaks Federation

Wyberton Primary Academy

The Great Oaks Federation currently consists of Boston St Thomas' CE Primary and Wyberton Primary schools and is part of the Infinity Academies Trust. The Trust has five schools locally and more information about the Trust can be found on the Infinity Academies Trust link at the top of the page.

The Great Oaks schools work extremely closely together to offer an excellent education for over 650 pupils from the local area. The schools are hard federated under one governing body and share an Executive Headteacher. In addition to this they collaborate on every aspect of school life including the shared Learning Mentor and Finance teams, professional development for staff and pupil experience days and events.

The federation has a workforce of over 85 staff who work tirelessly to promote exciting learning opportunities and experiences for pupils aged from 3 to 11 years. Children receive a well-rounded education that gives them the chance to excel academically whilst ensuring that there is ample opportunity to develop their unique talents whether they be in performing arts, sport or any other area. Our focus is that children develop a love of learning, an appreciation for the world around them and the skills to form positive and purposeful relationships.

The schools place great value on the links between home and school recognising that by working together we can achieve more for the children in our care. Both schools ensure there are lots of opportunities for parents to be involved in their child's learning, to attend school events and to meet regularly with teaching staff.

Our schools are rated highly by Ofsted with Wyberton being recognised as "Outstanding" in July 2016 and St Thomas' being rated as "Good"  with an "Outstanding" Church school inspection a few months later.
