What is the Mobilise Project?
Aims of the Project:
"To unlock the potential of every child & young person in Lincolnshire, by radically raising outcomes and raising aspirations".
We will do this through systematic development of the school workforce that uses evidence about what works in classrooms and schools, to lead school improvement and transformation.
This year at The Great Oaks Federation we have chosen to focus on Meta-cognition and Cognitive Theory through the Mobilise project. The project is organised in clusters of 8-12 schools, led by a Cluster Lead and supported by a Research Champion. The school will implement recommendations on how to use Cognitive Theory to improve learning. Following recommendations from the Institute of Education Science, areas of focus will include: interleaving, retrieval practice, spaced-learning and deep questions.
A member of the Great Oaks Federation team is leading the cluster in our area and we are working with both primary and secondary schools to develop and implement this project.
