Admissions

Please view our flyer for the latest Open Days for our federation.

Is your child due to start school in September 2018?

Then please get in touch!

At The Great Oaks Federation we try to ensure that the transition to school is as easy and as simple as possible for both parent and child. We are happy to provide you with all the information you need to decide which school is right for you.

We encourage prospective parents to contact the schools for a personal tour or attend our Open Days in November (please book by contacting the schools) as we would love you to come along and see our schools in action.

However, if you are unable to visit us or if you have any further questions following your visit then please do not hesitate to ask. Feel free to call us, send us an email or pop in and talk to one of our helpful office staff.

We look forward to welcoming you and your child soon.

Our admission policy for young children beginning at Wyberton is annual. We accept each September all children who will be 5 before 31 August of the following year.

All parents of new children are invited to school towards the end of the term before they start to meet the reception teachers and ask any questions they may have.

For the first week we recommend that children beginning their schooling attend for mornings only. Our experience has taught us that this half day introduction to school is beneficial. Details may vary from year to year, but parents are informed in good time.

Children are entitled to receive full time education from the beginning of the next full term (in Lincolnshire, currently Terms 1, 3 and 5) after their fifth birthday. At the head teacher’s discretion, most children start in the September immediately preceding their fifth birthday.
